Facing stunt driving charges in Ontario?

Here is a newer charge I am starting to see quite frequently in Ontario... Stunt Driving. You can get your vehicle impounded for seven days as well as get your license suspended for 7 days.

Some other important information:

-min fine of $2000 with a max of $10000
-imprisonment for not more than 6 months
-license suspension for not more than 2 years for 1st conviction. for the second conviction up to 10 years
-six demerit points
-and most importantly a 100% insurance rate increase for the next three years.

This charge is serious and as my post below on what to do with DUI/ DWI advised the first thing you should do is get a good LAWYER who has dealt with instances such as this before. This charge as with any charge is 100% worth fighting for. The consequences are huge and legal counsel should be sought after. The evidence needs to be there to fully charge you with stunt driving. Also sometimes if you plead guilty you can get a lessor sentence if this is your first offence with a clean record. A place like www.roadwarriors.ca is good to start at if you have been charged with stunt driving.
